I’m also known as "Emi" and "Emry," and if you haven't guessed it yet, my real name is Emily. I'm 17, a senior in high school, and I've obsessed over anime and manga since the first day I was forced to sit on the couch and watch Pokemon, Dragon Ball Z, and Sailor Moon when I was 10 way back in 1997 (though I used to deny ever liking Sailor Moon). And for those of you wondering, it was a year and a half later when I first became obsessed over Miroku from Inuyasha.

I also like video games! ^.^ Mainly Final Fantasy (favorite is FFX) and Soul Calibur II for PS2 (I kill with Ivy and Talim, unless I'm fighting Glenn. Then I don’t stand a chance).

Another thing you should know: "Obsession" is not a word you should take lightly coming from me. When I obsess, I get very possessive, and things can get very ugly if someone gets in the way, though the ugliness is usually only seen by people close to me. If you know what I mean, then yay. If you don't know how serious my obsessions can get, you might find out depending on how much I put in my journal.

So what have I been doing on lately? Sitting on my ass in front of the computer, playing DDR, trying to get hired somewhere, and writing. (Dammit, I hate not completing writing assignments, but that damned convict paper is starting to get to me. But I'm going write a good one and turn it in to Mr. Mohn on the first day of school if it's the last thing I do! ...And I've been trying to finish a short story that I started weeks ago, but I keep throwing out what I have beyond the first page. -.-)

So, anyone wondering how the nickname "Emmy Award" came to be? Okay, as I've said, my real name is Emily. Ryan, the one guy in my Criminal Justice class with the most oblivious attitude and foolish behavior than anyone else I've ever met, gives me the nickname "Emi." Then, as if it's something no one has thought of before, he says, "Hey, Emi! I’m going to call you 'Emmy Award'! Get it? 'Emi' is short for 'Emily,' and it sounds like 'Emmy Award'! *proceed with idiotic-sounding laugh*" That continued on to things like, "Hey, Emmy Award! Shouldn't your skin be golden brown, instead of a Casper white? Hah hah!" and a song to the theme of CSI with the phrasing, "Em~my! I want to win you, win you." For the rest of the year, the name "Emmy Award" kind of stuck with what few acquaintances I had in Criminal Justice. (But thankfully, I won't be going back to that class this year.)

If you read every single word of this bio until now and you ARE NOT someone I know, then I think it's safe to assume that you have no life.
